1. Licensor and covered material

Renato Brant de Carvalho, a U.S.-based creator of the Joel Hart project (the “Licensor”), offers this public license to any person or organization. It applies to the 41 songs identified in the catalog of this website on October 19, 2026, across the albums Joel Hart, One Night In Wilmore, Beachside Worship, and Parables, including their lyrics, musical compositions, and original sound recordings, solely to the extent that the Licensor owns or is authorized to license the applicable rights. Album artwork, the artist’s name and image, website design, and editorial stories are not included in this music license.

2. Broad permission, including commercial use

Subject to Section 3, the Licensor grants a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license for the full duration of the applicable rights to reproduce, record and re-record, perform publicly, arrange, edit, remix, sample, translate, adapt, combine with other works, synchronize with audiovisual content, publish, distribute, broadcast, stream, sell, monetize, and otherwise use the covered material, in whole or in part, through all legally licensable media and methods. You may make and distribute derivative works and authorize others to exercise the licensed rights under the same essential condition. No individual permission, registration with the Licensor, payment, or revenue share to the Licensor is required.

3. Essential condition: preserve the message of Christ

Every use and adaptation under this license must preserve the essential Christian message expressed in the original song, centered on Jesus Christ and the Gospel. Changes to language, style, instrumentation, arrangement, length, and creative presentation are permitted. A use may not materially distort, negate, ridicule, or reverse that message, including by turning an affirmation of Christ into a denial of Him or presenting a message contrary to the original song’s Christian meaning as if it were its message. This condition concerns the resulting content and context of use; it does not require the user to belong to a particular church or denomination. When passing the material to others, provide this license or a link to it so that this condition remains clear.

4. Royalties, attribution, and new contributions

To the extent legally permitted and within the Licensor’s control, the Licensor waives license fees, royalties, and revenue participation for uses that comply with this license. Attribution to Joel Hart / Renato Brant is appreciated but is not an additional contractual condition, except where applicable law makes author identification mandatory. Do not falsely claim authorship or exclusive ownership of the original material. You may own rights in your own original contributions, without restricting anyone else’s rights to use the underlying material under this license. Do not assert exclusive automated claims over the original material that prevent other authorized users from using it.

5. Suno Pro, third-party rights, and AI-generated elements

The Licensor states that all 41 covered songs were created while his Suno Pro subscription was active, and that he wrote the lyrics outside Suno, using other AI tools to assist with selected rhymes and compositional development. His human-authored expression is distinguished from material generated by AI. Rights in Suno outputs are included only to the extent acquired under the Suno terms applicable to those outputs and lawfully licensable by the Licensor. This license does not replace the Licensor’s contract with Suno, certify compliance with every applicable contract, or revoke permissions previously granted to Suno. It does not grant rights belonging to coauthors, publishers, distributors, collecting societies, AI providers, performers, or other third parties that the Licensor does not control. Mandatory remuneration, third-party agreements, and lawful platform requirements remain applicable. It does not authorize bypassing Spotify, Suno, or other services’ access controls or download restrictions. Commercial-use permission from Suno is distinct from copyright protection under U.S. law. Purely AI-generated material may not be copyrightable. No exclusive rights are claimed over unprotected material, and this license does not restrict independent uses already permitted by law. The message-preservation condition applies to the exercise of rights granted by this license; it is not a representation that copyright can control every use of an unprotected AI-generated element.

6. Duration, compliance, and reinstatement

To the extent permitted by mandatory law, this permission is irrevocable for compliant uses for the full duration of the licensed rights, and a later website update does not retroactively withdraw it. A material breach ends the permissions for the breaching user while the breach continues. They are automatically reinstated when the breach is cured within 30 days after the user discovers it; otherwise, reinstatement requires the Licensor’s express agreement. Lawful uses made before the breach, and the independent rights of compliant recipients, are not retroactively invalidated.

7. Attribution, non-waivable rights, and absence of endorsement

The Licensor consents to alterations, adaptations, and translations that comply with this license and, to the extent permitted by applicable law, agrees not to assert waivable attribution or integrity rights to prevent those compliant uses. This does not waive the essential condition in Section 3, falsely attribute someone else’s contribution, or waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived. Use of the music does not imply endorsement by Joel Hart, Renato Brant, or Suno of a person, organization, product, or adapted version. It grants no separate right to use the artist’s identity or image, or Suno’s trademarks, to suggest endorsement.

8. Legal effect and interpretation

Exercising rights granted by this license signifies acceptance of its applicable conditions. This is a public permission to use the material, not an assignment of ownership to every user or an unrestricted public-domain dedication. U.S. federal copyright law governs questions of U.S. copyright protection, scope, and statutory limitations. Contract interpretation and enforceability remain subject to the law applicable under relevant conflict-of-laws rules and mandatory protections; this license does not select a particular state court or represent that every condition is enforceable everywhere. Fair use, public-domain status, other statutory exceptions, and non-waivable statutory termination rights remain unaffected. The material is offered as available, without a guarantee of suitability for every purpose or absence of third-party claims; any warranty exclusion applies only as permitted by law. No claim is made that the songs or lyrics have been registered with the U.S. Copyright Office. The English text is the original; Portuguese and Spanish versions are provided for accessibility. Where legally permissible, English governs translation discrepancies. This update clarifies the creation process and U.S./Suno context without withdrawing permissions already granted for compliant uses. Invalidity of a provision does not expand this license into uses that violate the essential condition in Section 3.
